Below are some activities Ysgol Dolbadarn have undertaken to promote reading ....

2010 - promoting reading through drama

Children in the Juniors watch a show called ‘Hei Hogia Bach’.

The show was sponsored by the Gwynedd Library Service. The actors presented a selection of scenes from Welsh and English books in order to promote reading.

We are fortunate that the Village Library is so near the school.

This year we have arranged for the older classes to spend a number of sessions at the Library learning how to make full use of this facility.

Every year the Library sets a challenge to pupils to read a set number of books over the summer months and to collect stickers each time they change their reading books at the Library. The pupils in the photo won medals for meeting the summer 2009 challenge.
