Ysgol Dolbadarn is a primary school that caters for pupils from
3-11 years of age.

Pupils are admitted part-time in the September following their third birthday and full-time in the September following their fourth birthday.

The building dates back to 1938, but at that time older pupils also attended the school. Over the years the two-floor building has been adapted for its present use and it is a large building with sizeable classrooms. In October 2006 a new Computer Suite was opened and this was made possible with the generous support of the local community and the Parents & Friends Association.

At eleven years of age pupils usually transfer to Ysgol Brynrefail which is in Llanrug.

A special centre for children with speech and language difficulties is housed in the school and open each morning. The centre is run directly by the Education Authority, but pupils and staff integrate socially.

The school was inspected by Estyn in November 2006. The school received a most complimentary Report and a copy of the Summary For Parents and/or the full Report can be obtained from the school, or you can access an on-line copy here.
